Well, with the premiere performance of The Tombstones performed on 21st August this year it's onwards and upwards with the creation of the album. The first track recorded is called "The Girl in the Picture" and can be hear on the "Blog" area of the site, www.greenpandatheatre.wordpress.com. It's recorded by the original Sophie (the main female character in the show) Amy Cate Walsh. Also on the blog site I'm starting to put together the list of musicals available and their licensors, as there doesn't seem to be a complete list. At the moment it will be major musicals e.g. Annie, Barnum etc, but hopefully over the next few months will become more of a definitve list of who to speak to to get to perform the musical you're looking for - which may hopefully be a Green Panda one.

We have reduced the price of the performance download packs from £400 to just £299. This is over 25% off. Both Berlin and Rising Sun are available from our "Stage It" area. Work continues on "The Tombstones" whilst also we are working on "Download Packs" for each individual song in the "New Songs for Musical Theatre" Collection, which will include the sheet music, backing track and vocal track for just £5. More news to follow shortly.

Well Tombstones is well on the way. The synopsis is now fully drafted and a workshop production is planned in Stratford-Upon-Avon for August by Youth Group 'Rogues and Vagabonds'. If you're interested in seeing the production on Saturday 21st August 2010 drop me an email and I'll make sure you're the first to find out when tickets are available.

So the last couple of months have been a little bit slow in starting the promotion activities on the site but Tim has been creating and has designed a few new tunes for The Tombstones musical, as well as getting the ideas collated for the synopsis/scene breakdown for The Man in the Iron Mask. The next few months will be concentrating on the full plot and songs for The Tombstones, as and when pieces are finished we'll upload them here so you can hear them and see what you think.

Well as the New Year begins, so do the new projects. Now the site is up and running Tim is working on three new projects slated for release over the next 15 months. The first is the ‘teen’ musical “The Tombstones”. Based on an original idea it is a cross between The Addams Family, Little Shop of Horrors and Grease. Destined for release in September 2010 this will be a pop teen musical with a hint of a dark side, ideal for schools, colleges and youth groups. The next project is “The Man in the Iron Mask” based on the Alexander Dumas classic this will be a full scale musical in a more traditional style. This is scheduled for release in January 2011 and will be followed, in April 2011, by a more ‘operetta-like’ musical of “Vincent” – telling the last few months of the artist Vincent Van Gogh, some of the music which will feature in this are already on the website and part of the New Songs for Musical Theatre selection. Over the coming months we will put new tracks online so you can hear how the shows are progressing.
